This year in 2018 Diwali is going to be celebrated on 7th November which is 1st Wednesday of the November whereas in south part of India deepawali is going to be celebrated on 6th of November 2018.

According to a legend on this day lord Vishnu in the getup of Narasimha killed Hiranyakashyap and also the belief say that on this day Lakshmi appeared.
